Profile

Dimitra Theochari is an architect, engineer and landscape architect based in Hamburg.

Trained as an architect and engineer at the National Technical University of Athens and — as a Fulbright scholar — as a landscape architect at the University of Texas at Austin, she has practised for some fifteen years on three continents: with Turenscape and Lake|Flato in Austin and Beijing, VWArchitectes in Switzerland, Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl in Überlingen and Abu Dhabi, and MERA Landschaftsarchitekten in Hamburg.

In 2024 she founded ensphere GmbH, an interdisciplinary practice for climate-resilient public space, blue-green infrastructure and ecological urbanism. As managing director she leads competitions, VgV procedures and EU-funded projects, working with municipalities, architecture offices, engineers, researchers and public institutions.

The work moves between scales and formats — from metropolitan river landscapes in China to neighbourhood squares in Athens, from awarded competitions in Germany to climate-adaptation research for the Attica Region. Germany is the primary field of practice, with selected work in Greece, Cyprus and other international contexts.
